2. projects VS. spaces

Previously when we were designing multiple rooms, we cataloged everything in one really long Shopping List and items all under a Project Info tab. Now, we have a Project with Spaces within.

Accessing Your Project at Log-in:

  • Find heading called “Quick Links”
  • Select “View Your Projects”
  • Select your Project name, view project notes
  • View/accept Contract

4. Messaging with Us

Messages have been updated and are now Project specific, Space specific, or even Team Member specific with direct messages. Messages sent at each level are specific to that level and they do not roll-up or down to different Spaces.

  • Project Messaging: Universal messaging about the whole project (our preferred location)
  • Space Messaging: Applies to the Space only.

There is no reply button for Messages. Simply type your Subject Line and type. You can expand the Message box by dragging the expandable widget on the bottom right corner.

REMEMBER TO BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU MESSAGE FROM. THE IMAGES ON THE RIGHT SHOW HOW TO IDENTIFY WHERE MESSAGES ORIGINATE AND HOW TO DETERMINE WHERE YOU ARE WHEN SENDING MESSAGES.

Messaging is done at the Project level by selecting Chat Bubbles. Messages can be viewed from the Project level ONLY.

5. Group & Direct Messaging (NEW!)

Our preferred method is Group Message because we work as a Team.

You can now send a group message to all of us working on your Project by selecting “Group” when in messages. These are broken down by Spaces.

Direct Messages

You can also send a message to just one Team Member working on your project by using “Direct”. To send a message, click the box in the top right corner that looks like a chat bubble.

6. Notes & checklists

You may also notice from time to time that the Design Team has added checklists in your Notes within a Space. Sometimes these are viewed and editable by you, sometimes just viewable. If there’s a little pencil icon at the top of the note, it means it is available for you to check off or make edits to. If there is no pencil icon, it means you can view only.

Checklists or other items are available to view in Notes. Different colours depend on urgency with red being the most important.

7. Uploading Images & Files

One of the best features for communicating ideas or inspiration to us is using the Space Info area to upload images and files.

  1. From a Space, navigate to  "Space Info".
  2. Select the applicable area (Before Images, Measure Files, or Inspiration Images)
  3. Add your Images or Files

File size are limited to a maximum of 10MB and 6 files.

Measures accept a variety of file types including documents, spreadsheets and AutoCAD files.

If you can not locate the "Add Image" or "Add Files" tool, we have not turned this feature on for you. Please contact us to have it made available.

This was previously located under the “Assets” tab. Wifi connections are known to be affected by uploading while dedicated LAN connections (who uses that anymore) are optimal.

Navigate to "Space Info" and look for the "Add Image" or "Add File" text, select that.

8. Printing your Project & PDF

If you would like to print/save a PDF copy of your Project click on the "Print View" button in the top right corner of the page when in a Space.

You have the option to select what you want to print (or save as a pdf.) Once you’ve selected which sections you’d like, click on the Print button and select a printer or “Save as PDF” or send directly to the printer you have set up.

Note: You can only print Spaces, not Projects.

9. Approving & flagging products

You can now access the Products for each Space by selecting the Space name and then selecting “Products” on the left sidebar.

If you are happy with the entire list of products we've specified for you, please click “Approve Shopping List”.

If you prefer to revise an item (remember our Menu of Services), please click on the little flag, select your reason, then click “Revise Product” and the Design Team will receive a notification.

This feature was formerly called the "Shopping List".

Approving Products in your Shopping List is now easier than before. (Click to enlarge)

10. Accepting Our Contract

The Contract can be found in the main Project section beneath the “Project info” tab. To access this menu, you will need to click on the main Project title. If you are working in a Space and want to get back to this menu, you can click on the name of the project on the top of the project menu.

To accept this Contract, you will need to click “Accept Contract” and enter your name and log-in email address. If there are two contacts assigned to the Project, such as a partner or spouse, they will also need to accept.

Always read contracts from top to bottom before accepting.
