history: namdaemun gate

if you're lucky, you are awestruck by the beauty of a few great things in history. such is my story about namdaemun gate. on september 11, 2001 at about 12:30pm (wee morning hours on the eastern seaboard) jason and i walked passed this stunning history landmark and were in awe. it was so beautiful, sitting there on it's perch in the middle of soeul. that moment was preceded by a several hours long flight from los angeles - so i'm not surprised that the time spent looking at this small wonder was heralded by my first trip to asia, eating at mcdonald's and possibly my jetlag. none the less, it will be missed. i wouldn't want to be the arsonist whom set this ablaze.
