birthday bike ride and 100 mile diet challenge

For my birthday party I decided to challenge my friends to do something different. I chose a bike ride from Coal Harbor to Spanish Banks, and also a 100 mile diet picnic. I wanted to have the smallest carbon footprint, good food, and get some exercise while we were at it.

Stacey, Jason, and I had a blast of a bike ride, and really enjoyed the food I made for the picnic. The menu included potato salad, hard boiled eggs, organic turkey bacon, cucumber salad, locally made bread, blueberry pie, and water! It was amazing and everything tasted so good! My butt is a little sore now... the seat wasn't that cushioned

Alas, laziness takes the cake as usual for my birthday plans. Several excuses. Not impressed peeps! 3 ppl did the whole challenge, and 1 person met us at Spanish Banks. Which would mean that 9 ppl are taking the penalty of $50 minimum donation to my next charity run! I guess if you RSVP I expect a fun bike ride on a holiday day, combined with making one dish of foods within 100 miles of home isn't a difficult challenge.
