DXV reveals the 2016 Design Panel and their designs that are inspired by some strong North American cities.
Our Broughton inner-city is on the desk today
A "Jitty" is a narrow pathway between two areas of a village. In this example, it is a connection (or back laneway) between Granville Street and Seymour Street near our office. I think it aptly describes what a back alley really is in a downtown core.
Yes, it's dirty, has recycling and trash bins, isn't always the safest idea to use as a passage in typical Vancouver fashion, but I prefer to think of alleys, lanes, and jitties, as the backbone of architecture and their services or supply.
At IKEA and the Now or Never Sale is happening. I can't help but wonder if our search for a large wood conference table in a specific investment range will have us in a tizzy when the new catalogue drops. Even we have budgets for our future (and larger) office in 6 months from now.
We're hiring a CADD Technician & Design Support. It's an entry-level part-time position and was recently created out of growth. Head over to our Careers page (http://coreyklassen.ca/careers) to view the positing and apply online.
