I'm a Guest Panelist @ LuAnn Nigara Live!

At the end of March, I am headed to NEW JERSEY?! Okay, let me start over… At the end of March, I’m headed to LuAnn Nigara Live: It’s About The Conversation as a guest panelist. Exciting, right? If you don’t know who LuAnn is or why that is a big deal, then let me spare not one more minute explaining.

LuAnn is the host of A Well Designed Business Podcast and my co-hort Judith A. Neary, CMKBD have been regular occuring guests under a topic we call “Design Biz Live.” Since we started appearing on Lu’s podcast, we have always taken the approach of being honest and truthful about the design business - because it’s not so easy sometimes and things can get really challenging.

Have you taken a second to see what she’s doing and why you should go? It’s pretty amazing/epic/outstanding.

Check it out here.

And Judith just sent me this from the floor of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show… if you don’t understand the joke you really need to listen to our guest series.

Awarded 2nd Place at NKBD BC Design Excellence Awards

On December 1, 2018, we took home 2nd Place (actually tied with Shelly Scales & Associates) for our Riley Park 2 bathroom design. It’s pretty exciting and winning an award never gets old! Thanks to the BC Chapter of the NKBA for the award!

P.S. I actually started the design contest at the BC Chapter 5 years ago while volunteering as a Chapter Officer and I couldn’t be prouder to see what it has become.

We've moved, home.

Hi there! It was time to update you on some changes over at the studio and, yup, you guessed it, we moved to a home-based office! Truth be told, running a small interior design business is a lot hard work and very expensive. Things shifted over the summer with a shortage of filling vacant positions and increased leasing costs. Looking at a long term strategy of what I want to do (and what I do not want to do), I decided against putting warm bodies in seats and opted to wait for the right fit for me and my Clients.

Is it temporary? Maybe and maybe not, but I do not want to compromise what I love doing, my business, and my career to just have my name on a brick-and-mortar office door.
