3D Model Walk-thru This concept three dimensional walk thru was created in Google SketchUp for the 2009/2010 NKBA Student Design Competition. The space was a 92″ x 93″ mudroom converted to a fully functional guest bathroom in a 1910 Arts & Crafts, Shingle Style home in Portland, Oregon. The design direction I took was to focus on using sustainable products by specifying Kierie Board, Plyboo, Coconut wall tiles, Eco-spec paint, ADA compliant fixtures, and fittings focusing on Universal Design. The overall result is a massive dressing circle and truly organic space that age in place. |

3D Model Walk-thru This concept three dimensional walk thru was created in Google SketchUp for the 2009/2010 NKBA Student Design Competition. The space was three non-functioning areas consiting of a kitchen, powder room and eating nook. The goal was to incorporate a large family eating area, a well sized medium kitchen, a laundry room and a seperated butler’s pantry. The design direction I took was to focus on an urban twist of natural elements and use modern appliances and fixtures to create a cohesive and excellently designed, functional 3 room space. The overall design was so successful that as the designer, I would want this kitchen. |
