The future of the kitchen is changeing – that’s a given – and I’m not too clear if this type of product will contribute to the change of the environment. I’m sure this would catch on in Asia where space is a premium – and that is the target market - but I do not think the American culture of two people would catch on. They still continue to believe that more is better and not less is more. [via Yanko Design]

I concur….interesting and a great gadget but only useful in condensed society’s or perhaps in bedsits or bedsit type accomodation for the elderly (although more when WE get there and will be able to work out how it works).

Think it is trying to be too much for what it is though.

Andrea, you are totally right. It may work for lodgers or roommates but not much further in Western culture.

This flies in the face of our economic downturn where we are going back to fundamentals in cooking and family collaberation. It does not appear to me to be an economic way of purchasing food and where is the ambience , the scents and sounds of home and hearth?Call me old fashioned and sentemental!
